The CrossFit methodology is designed to improve fitness is by focusing on these components:

  • Metabolic Conditioning: building capacity in each of three metabolic pathways, beginning with aerobic (long duration), then lactic acid (medium duration), and then phosphocreatine pathways (short/sprint duration).
  • Gymnastics: developing functional capacity for body control and range of motion.
  • Weightlifting and Throwing: developing the ability to control external objects and produce power.
  • Sport: applying fitness in a competitive atmosphere with more randomized movements and skill mastery.

CrossFit is designed to be constantly varied, meaning everyday is different so you never get bored. All workouts are based on the core movements of life, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, rowing and more.

All workouts can be adjusted in weight, intensity, and certain mechanics to scale to the experience and fitness levels of any individual, from beginner to competitive CrossFitter.

What to expect?

All of our CrossFit Classes are coach-led and follow a planned progression an hour in length and follow this basic structure:

A coach will guide you through a specialized warm up, followed by movement instruction and demonstration before starting the workout. The coach will supervise and correct your movements during the workout to ensure technique is maintained and you’re getting the most out of your workout.
